The only evidence that this bible ever
existed is a small loose sheet of blue paper 7¼in by 4½in. The paper is to be found in the
William Rawes bible, detailed in another webpage. William Rawes was William Wilson Rawes's nephew.
The last line states "Copy Robert Rennison". This gives us a clue that the entries may have been copied from another bible possibly owned by William Wilson Rawes, 1745-1813, of Wetsleddale, Shap, Westmorland. William Wilson had a large family and the bible may still survive in the possession of one of his descendant (Wm Wilson Line). |
