Notes:-
Gerard Rawes of Raisgil Hall, the then head of the family, had a sister Margaret, baptised Orton in 1721. She is
thought to have married Thomas Whitbread on 1st August 1750. Perhaps after the cowhouse incident Gerard found her
a husband!
