AMBLESIDE, WESTMORLAND
Parish Church

NOTES
A visit in the late 1990's with Judith Mary Rawes revealed the two memorials belonging to her family and illustrated below. They are set in the centre of the large churchyard. Lily Backhouse was the daughter of William Thompson Rawes. Following the heastone inscription is a memorial card produced at the time to give out to mourners. The original is with Mary, Lancashire, the great granddaughter of William Thompson Rawes. (Jamaica Line)
