NOTES The memorial was copied from a book 'Beckenham Past and Present' by R. Borrowman, published 1910. The 'picture' mentioned in the inscription was of the Madonna and Child, based on a painting by Giovanni Bellini. It is not known whether the picture still hangs in the church.
