In the name of God Amen. / I John Raws of Silverdale in the Parish / of Warton and County of Lancaster Husband / man do make and publish this my last Will / and Testament in manner and form following / First I order and appoint that my Wife shall / have and enjoy the Interests, profits, and imolu / ments of all my Estate both real and personal / during the term of her natural life.

Secondly I give and bequeath to my Son / John Raws the sum of Ten pounds, also to my / Son in Law Geo: Hutton I give the sum of five pounds / and to the two Daughters of the sd Geo: / Hutton I give and bequeath the promisory note / which I have now in my possession against / their father value forty pounds to be equally / divided between them. And to my Grand Daughter / Ann Raws I give and bequeath the sum of Twenty / pounds. All which said Legacies and Be / quests I order and appoint to be well and truly paid / and discharged after the term and expiration of / one year from and after the death of my Wife.

All the Residue and Remainder both of my real / and personal Estate all Legacies Bequests and / all lawful demands, Funeral and other expences / being first duly paid and discharged. I give and / [Sheet two:]
bequeath to my Daughter Betty Raws to her / and to her lawful Heirs forever.

Lastly I hereby nominate and appoint my Son / John & Thos. Hashiter[?] of Lyndeth [Lindeth] to be Trustees and / assistants to my said Daughter Betty Raws whom / I hereby constitute and nominate the Executrix of this / my last Will and Testament: hereby revoking all / other former Wills and Testaments made by me

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my / Hand and Seal nineteenth Day of December / in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred / and two.

On the sixth day of December in the year of our / Lord one thousand eight hundred and three / this Will was proved in common form, and / Betty Raws, sole Executrix therein named / was sworn well and faithfully to execute and / perform the same, and so forth and that to / the best of her knowledge and belief the / whole of the personal Estate and effects of / which the Testator within named died possessed / within the Archdeaconry of Richmond in the / Diocese of Chester did not in real value amount / to the sum of Three hundred pounds. before me
