In the name of God Amen I Gerard Raws / of Orton Co. Westmorland do / make and publish this my last Will and Testament / in manner following that is to say, I give and / bequeath to my Daughter Margaret Barnes my / Clock and Dresser[?] during her natural life and / from and after her Decease I give and bequeath / the same to her natural son Thomas Hughs / Also I give and bequeath to my house keeper Isabel / Harrison One Chaff Bed, one linen sheet, two / woollen Blankets, two Happings[?], and one Rug one / Brass Pan and one Iron Pan, a Copper Tea kettle / and an Iron Tea kettle, three Plates, two pot Doublers / four Porringer Pots, two good Chairs, a Whitish

Chest which we commonly put Bread in, and a bottle[?] / which we generally use and I will that all the above / Legacies shall be delivered to the above legatees / immediately after my Decease Also I give and bequeath / to my son William Raws the sum of fforty pounds / out of the sixty which he owes me, and I will that / he shall pay the remaining twenty pounds and / interest to my Executor hereinafter named within / twelve calender months next after my Decease / Also I give and bequeath to my two sons Gerard / Raws and Lancelot Raws and to my Daughter / Elizabeth Kolet each the sum of forty pounds. Also / I give and bequeath to the children of my Daughter / Mary Morland the sum of fforty pounds to be equally / divided amongst them share and share alike. And / I will that my Executor hereinafter named shall pay / all the above Sums of Money to the said respective / Legatees and also make the above Division amongst / the said children within twelve calender months / next after my Decease. Also I give and bequeath / to my son Lancelot Raws the sum of forty pounds / in Trust nevertheless that my said son shall / place the same out at interest on good or / apparently good security and pay all the interest / thence arising yearly & every year as he shall / receive the same to my said Daughter Margaret / Barnes during her natural life And at her / Decease I will that he my said son his Executors / or Administrators shall call in the said forty pounds / & divide the same equally share & share alike amongst / her three children namely John Hughs and Mary / Clark, whom she had to her former husband and

her natural son Thomas Hughs, and[?] if any of the said / children die before the said Division shall take place / leaving lawful issue I will that the share will / that the receipts of Parents or Guardians of children / Under Age and of Women under Coverture shall / be a sufficient Discharge to my Executor And as to / All the rest residue and remainder of my Personal / Estate Goods and Chattels whatsoever and wheresoever / I give and bequeath the same to my said son / Lancelot Raws whom I do hereby appoint sole Executor / of this my last Will and Testament he paying my just / Debts and ffuneral expences. In Witness whereof I have / hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty second / Day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight / hundred and four / Gerard Raws (ls) signed sealed / declared & Published by the said Testator as and for / his last Will & Testament in the presence of us who in / his presence at his request & in the presence of each / other have subscribed our names as Witnesses to the / due Execution thereof Thos: Holme sworn William Raws sworn.
