[Abstract:]
A Bond was sworn on the 9 March 1809 by The Reverend William Rawes of Houghton le Spring, Westmorland, Clerk, and Richard Rawes of Kendal, Westmorland, Merchant, as sons and next of kin in the sum of £7000 (together with Richard Shields and Shirett? Middleton as suretees) to administer the goods, chattels and credits of Robert Rawes late of Wetsleddale in the Parish of Shap, Westmorland, Gentleman, who died intestate in the Diocese of York.
