Page 1:] I James Rawes of Sherborne in the County of Dorset / Gentlemen do publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner / and form following I give and bequeath all my all leasehold houses and premises / household goods and furniture plate linen and china books and all other my / Estate and effects of what nature or kind soever or wheresoever situate unto / John Gray of Sherborne aforesaid Surgeon & James Proctor Melmoth of the / same place Attorney at Law upon Trust that they or the survivor of them his / executors or administrators do and shall with all convenient speed after my / decease sell and dispose of my said Estate and Effects or such parts thereof as may / be in their nature saleable either by public or private sale and either together / or in parcels or lots and to collect and get in the other parts thereof And then upon / trust in the first place out of the proceeds of such sales and the monies so to be / got in as aforesaid to pay all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expences / and the expence of proving this my Will and after payment thereof upon trust to / invest the residue of such proceeds and the monies so to be got in as aforesaid / upon Government or real security and to pay and apply the interest dividends / and proceeds thereof under my two natural children James Rawes and Ann / Rawes in equal shares and porportions until the said Ann Rawes shall / attain the age of twenty one years and then upon trust to pay and divide the / principal monies with all interest due thereon unto and between my said / two natural children in equal shares and proportions but case either of / them my said natural children should depart this life before the said Ann / Rawes shall attain the said age of twenty one years without having leaving issue / lawfully begotten Then upon trust to pay the whole of the said principle monies / with all interest due thereon unto the survivor of my said children But in / case either of my said natural children shall depart this life before the said / Ann Rawes shall attain such age leaving issue lawfully begotten Then upon / trust to stand possessed of the share of him or her so dying and leaving issue / as aforesaid and to pay and apply the same for the benefit of such issue in
[Page 2:] I hereby appoint the said / John Gray and James Proctor Melmoth joint Executors of this my Will / hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made In Witness / whereof I the said James Rawes the Testator have to this my last Will and / Testament written on or contained in one sheet of paper set my hand and seal / the last day of December one thousand eight hundred and thirty five - James / Rawes (LS) — Signed Sealed published and declared by the testator James / Rawes as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his / presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our / names as Witnesses hereto Charles Fellowes - Jno.
