This is the last Will & testament / of me William Rawes of Shap, Traveller & Dealer in the Cutlery & / Hardware. After payment of all my just debts funeral & testamenary expenses / I give devise and bequeath unto my friend Mr John Edmund Yates Hull the / all of my real & personal estate absolutely & I do hereby appoint the aforesaid / Mr John Edmund Yates Hull to be my Executor of this my Will. As witness / my hand this twenty first day of September in the year of our Lord One / thousand eight hundred & sixty six - William Rawes his X mark - Signed & Acknowledged by the said William Rawes the Testator as & for / his last Will & Testament in the presence of us being present at the same / time who at his request in his presence & in the presence of each other have / hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses - Simeon Smith - Michael / Moran.
