Will and Admon of William Rawes of Kirkby Ireleth, Lancashire. Made 3rd April 1872. Proved 12th April 1882 at Lancaster. (Kirkby Line)
I William Rawes / of Head Cragg in the Parish of Kirkby Ireleth in the County of Lancashire, declare this to / be my last Will and Testament. I do hereby give unto my dear wife Elizabeth Rawes / all my real and personal estate whatever and wheresoever to hold unto her, her heirs, / executors and administrators according to the respective natures and qualities of the said / premises absolutely and forever. And I hereby appoint my said wife sole executor of this / my Will at the same time revoking all former and other Wills Codicils Testamentary / dispositions whatsoever my me at any time heretofore made. Witness whereof I have / hereunder set my hand this third day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand / eight hundred and seventy two.

Signed by the said testator as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us / present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each / other have subscribed our names as Witnesses.

Administration (with the Will annexed) of the personal estate
of William Rawes late of Head Cragg in the Parish of
Kirkby Ireleth, in the County of Lancaster, Quarryman deceased
who died on the twelfth day of April 1882 at Head Cragg
aforesaid was granted to William Rawes the administrator
of the personal estate of Elizabeth Rawes widow deceased whilst
living the relict the sole executor and Universal Legatee named
in the said Will, he the said William Rawes having been first
sworn. The said Elizabeth Rawes having died without having
taken upon her the Probate and execution of the said Will.
