[Will:]
This is the last Will & Testament of me Elizabeth Rawes of / Front Street Consett in the County of Durham widow. I direct that all my just / debts and Testamentary expenses be paid out of my personal estate. I give devise and / bequeath unto my son Thomas Coleman Rawes all my real estate for his life. I also / direct that he shall sell or let the same within twelve months after my decease. The / property if sold the sum of two thousand pounds to be invested on real estate for / his life and at his decease to be equally divided amongst his children share and / share alike. I also give and bequeath unto my said son Thomas Coleman Rawes / the whole of my personal estate except my wearing apparel and subject to / the following legacies being paid thereunto. The sum of one hundred pounds to my grand / child Herbert Rawes on his attaining the age of Twenty one years and the sum of / one hundred pounds to Grace Ann Rayner widow of the late John Rayner and / I direct my wearing apparel be equally divided between my sisters Hannah / Thorne and Mary Ann Groves[?] share and share alike. And I appoint my said / son Thomas Coleman Rawes and Christopher Lumley of Consett Executors / of this my Will, hereby revoking all other testamentary writings. In witness whereof / I have hereunto set my hand this 21st day of November 1884.

I Elizabeth Rawes of Front Street, Consett, Co. Durham / Widow do make this Codicil to my Will. It is my wish and desire to appoint and / I do hereby appoint Mr John Calvert of Sherburn House, Consett to act as one / of my executors in conjunction with my son Thomas Coleman Rawes and Christopher / Lumley appointed Executors under my Will dated November twenty first / one thousand eight hundred and eighty four. As witness whereof I have hereunto / set my hand this 1st day of December 1884.

Proved at Durham with a Codicil on the 13th day of February / 1885 by the Oaths of Thomas Colman Rawes (in the Will written / "Thomas Coleman Rawes") the son and Christopher Lumley / the Executors named in the Will and John Calvert the Executor / named in the Codicil to whom Administration was granted.

The Testatrix Elizabeth Rawes was late of Front Street, Consett in the County of Durham / widow and died 2nd January 1885 at Front Street aforesaid.
