Will of Jane Rawes of Lowther Street, Penrith, Cumberland. Made 23rd August 1891. Proved 11th September 1891 at Carlisle. (Shoemaker Line)
This is the last Will and Testament of me Jane Rawes (formerly Jane / Bentham) the wife of Wilson Rawes of Lowther Street Penrith Cumberland Railway Goods / Agent made this 23rd day of August 1891 whereby in exercise of the power of / appointment conferred upon me by an Indenture of Settlement made between Jane / Bentham of the first part, Wilson Rawes of the second part and William Heston and / Edmund Fawcett Fearnside of the third part and of every other power hereunto me / enabling I devise appoint and bequeath all my Real and Personal Estate whatsoever / and wheresoever unto and to the use of my husband the said Wilson Rawes absolutely / and I appoint the said Wilson Rawes sole Executor hereof In Witness whereof I have / signed my name at th foot or end of this my Will the day and year first before written / in the presence of the two subscribing witnesses

The above writing having been signed by Jane Rawes the wife of Wilson Rawes of / Lowther Street Penrith Cumberland Railway Goods Agent as her last Will in the / presence of us present at the same time we without quitting her presence do attest and / subscribe the same in her presence and in the presence of each other the same having / been first read over and explained to her when she appeared to understand the same / and made her mark thereto

The Testatrix Jane Rawes (wife of Wilson Rawes) was late of Lowther Street Penrith / in the County of Cumberland and died on the 28th August 1891 at Lowther Street / Penrith aforesaid
