THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me JAMES RAWES a British Subject carrying on business and domiciled in
the City of Lisbon Portugal and at present residing at No 109 Fentiman Road South Lambeth I revoke all former
Wills and testamentary dispositions made by me I appoint my dear sons Stanley and Leslie Rawes and my old and
faithful companion and partner in busi

ness Antonio Maria Vieira da Silva and my good friends Nicol Mac Nicoll
of Lisbon and George Knowles of London (hereinafter called my Trustees) to be the EXECUTORS and TRUSTEES of
this my will I give to my dear wife Helen Augusta Rawes absolutely all my plate glass books furniture and other
household goods I also give to her the sum of £1000 (one thousand pounds sterling) in each to be paid to her
within three calendar months after my decease I device and bequeath all my real and personal estate not hereby
otherwise disposed of unto my trustees upon trust with full powers to sell call in and convert into money the
same or such part thereof as they may think fit and they shall with and out of the moneys produced by such sale
calling in and conversion and with and out of my ready money pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts
and the legacies bequeathed by this my Will or any Codicil thereto and they shall invest the residue of the said
moneys in such securities as they may consider safe and desirable such investments to be made at their sole
discretion and without their being in any way personally liable or responsible in regard thereto and with power
from time to time to vary the same and they the said trustees shall stand possessed of the said residuary
trust moneys and the investments for the time being representing the same (hereinafter called the trust funds)
in trust to pay the income thereof including any profits derived from the firm of James Rawes & Co to my said
wife during her life and after her decease in trust as to capital for my children until they all attain their
majority and that the final division of the trust funds (equally between them) be effected as hereinafter
provided the income derived from the trust funds being in the meantime (and pending that final division) paid to
such of my children as may have attained their majority for their maintenance and for the maintenance of their
brothers and sisters who may still be minors If any child of mine shall die before the final division of the
trust fund leaving a child or children then and in such case the last mentioned child or children shall take
(and if more than one equally between them) the share which his her or their parent would have taken of and in
the trust funds if such parent had lived until the final division of such trust funds was effected And I further
declare that my trustees shall have power at their discretion to raise any part or parts not exceeding together
one moiety of the vested or expectant share of any child of mine under the trusts of this my will apply the same
for his or her advancement preferment or benefit as my trustees shall think fit And I direct that the final
division of the capital of the trust funds shall be made (after my wifes decease) amongst my children when the
youngest of such children shall have attained the age of 21 (twenty one) years And I also declare that my
trustees may postpone the sale and conversion of any part of my real and personal estate for so long as they
shall think fit and that the rents profits and incomes to accrue from and after my

and from such part of my estate as shall for the time being remain unsold and unconverted shall (after payment
thereout of all incidental expenses and outgoings) be paid and applied to the person or persons and in the
manner in which the income of the proceeds of such sale and conversion would for the time being be payable or
applicable under this my Will if such sale and conversion had been actually made And I further declare that
should I die whilst still a partner in the firm of James Rawes & Co (in the city of Lisbon) the provisions of
the deeds of partnership of that firm shall be respected and observed by my trustees both as regards the
continuance of my capital in the said firm and the division of profits and also as regards all other matters
appertaining to that partnership I desire to put on record that I do not appoint my oldest and dearest of
friends Frederick Youle one of my Executors out of regard to his age and because I wish to spare him any trouble
nevertheless it is my wish that in case of need my Executors shall consult him and be guided by his advice and
opinion in regard to all matters connected with this my last Will and Testament IN WITNESS whereof I have
hereunto set my hand this thirtieth (30th) day of July of the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred 1900) -

THIS IS A C0DICIL to the Will of me JAMES RAWES a British Subject carrying on business in Lisbon and at present
residing at the Russell Hotel Russell square the said Will bearing date the 30th July 1900 In the aforenamed
Will I devised and bequeathed all my real and Personal estate not therein or by any later Codicil otherwise
disposed of unto my Trustees upon trust for them to pay the income thereof to my dear wife Helen Augusta Rawes
during her life and after her decease the said income to be paid to such of my children as may have attained
their majority for their maintenance and for the maintenance of their brothers and sisters who may still be
minors the capital of such trust fund to be finally divided (after my Wifes decease) amongst my children when
the youngest of such children shall have attained the age of twenty one years Being now wishful that a division
of part or my real and personal estate shall take place immediately after my death and without waiting for the
decease of my Wife I by this Codicil do hereby give and bequeath the sum of one thousand pounds to each of my
children as follows One thousand pounds to my daughter Mabel Hardwick one thousand pounds to my son Stanley
Rawes one thousand pounds to my son Leslie Rawes one thousand pounds to my son Herbert Rawes one thousand pounds
to my son Douglas Rawes one thousand pounds to my son Percy Lea Rawes on thousand pounds to my daughter Muriel
Helen Rawes one thousand pounds to

my daughter Irene Victoria Rawes and one thousand pounds to my daughter Gwladys Mary Rawes And as at the present
time my daughters Muriel Helen Irene Victoria and Gwladys Mary are minors I hereby request and devise that in
the event of any of them not having attained their majority at the time of my death the share or share of the
above bequest of such minor or minors shall be held in trust by my Trustees to be handed to such child or
children on her or their twenty first birthday And I further give and bequeath to my dear sister Mary Elizabeth
Rawes the sum of three hundred pounds and to each of my nephews and nieces fifty pounds as follows Fifty pounds
to my niece Ignez Linda Whistler fifty pounds to my niece Amy Rawes fifty pounds to my niece Beatrice Cock fifty
pounds to my niece Alice Rawes fifty pounds to my niece Agnes Rawes fifty pounds to my nephew Prescott Rawes
fifty pounds to my nephew Glennie Rawes and fifty pounds to my niece Ada Rawes also fifty pounds to my wifes
nephew the Reverond Horace E Wynne I further give and bequeath fifty pounds to each of the daughters of my good
friend and executor Nicol Mac Nicoll as follows fifty pounds to Elizabeth Grey (Lillie) Mac Nicoll and fifty
pounds to catherine Mac Donald (Cathie) MacNicoll And I desire that all the foregoing bequests shall be free of
legacy duty such legacy duty to be paid out of my estate and in all other respects I hereby confirm and ratify

THIS IS A SECOND CODICIL to the Will of me JAMES RAWS a British Subject carrying on business in Lisbon and at
present residing in this City at No 61 RuaNova de San Francisco de Paula the said Will having been made by me in
London on the 30th July 1900 and the first Codicil thereto having likewise been made by me in London on the 29th
of May 1906 Now by this second Codicil to my above mentioned Will I hereby give and bequeath the sum of five
hundred pounds sterling (£500) to the British Protestant Church in this city of Lisbon commonly known as St
Georges Church the said money to be invested by the church wardens in securities for the benifit of the "Church
Endowment Fund" so that the interest derivable therefrom may be applied towards the maintenance and support of
the said Church establishment And I desire that the foregoing bequest shall be free of any legacy duty and that
any such legacy shall be paid out of my estate And in all other reepects I hereby confirm and ratify my
aforenamed Will of the 30th day of July 1900 and Codicil of the 29th day of May 1906 Lisbon this twenty fourth

the second Codicil was made in Portugal and is valid by Portuguese law

surviving Executors
