This is the last Will and Testament of me / Edward Rawes / of Dale Street Lancaster in the County of Lancaster
Joiner I appoint William Jolly and / Richard Snape both of Lancaster aforesaid to be Executors and Trustees of
this my Will / I bequeath to my wife the legacy or sum of twenty pounds to be paid to her within one / calendar
month after my decease I give and bequeath all my real estate and / the residue of my personal estate of whatever
nature and kind and wheresoever situate / unto my said trustees Upon Trust to permit and suffer my said wife to
receive the rents / profits and income arising therefrom during her life providing she remain my widow and /
after her decease or marriage to call in and convert the same into money and after payment / of all expenses
attending such sale calling in and conversion Upon Trust for all my children / in equal shares who being a son
or sons shall attain the age of 21 years or being a / daughter or daughters shall attain that age or marry and
in case any of my children shall / die during my lifetime leaving legal issue then I direct my trustees to pay
the legal issue of / such my child or children in share and share alike the monies that would have fallen to /
such my child or children had they not predeceased me And I empower my said trustees / in their discretion to
either continue the investments which may be held by me at the time of / my decease or invest any of the trust
moneys which may come to their hands or Government or / real or leasehold securities or in the purchase of the
stock of any Municipal Corporation or the stocks / shares or debentures of any Company which shall for the five
years previous have paid a dividend / of not less than four pounds per centum per annum In Witness whereof I
have hereunto set my / hand this third day of August One thousand eight hundred and eighty nine
