I Fanny Rawes of No.10 Gillinggate, Kendal in the County of Westmorland do / hereby make this my last Will &
Testament I direct that all my real & personal estate / wherever situated be realized by my executor excepting the
Life Assurance Policy on / the life of my husband Robert Rawes and that the said Executor shall hold in trust /
the sum realised until the death of my husband Robert Rawes when he will pay the / necessary funeral expenses of
the said Robert Rawes out of the amount paid by / the Insurance Company I further direct that the said Executor
shall after the / death of the said Robert Rawes proceed to distribute the amount realised from the / foregoing
estate in the following manner. To my son John William Rawes one / fourth share To my son Ernest Eskrigge Rawes
one fourth share To my daughter / Fanny Elizabeth Harrison one fourth share To my granddaughter Alice Strong / one
fourth share I further direct that the said Executor shell hold in trust the / share of my granddaughter Alice
Strong until such time that he may deem it / suitable to pay the amount to her but not later than on her attaining
the age of twenty / one years I further direct that if any of the foregoing beneficiaries die before the said /
Robert Rawes then his or her share shall be equally divided amongst the survivors / except in the case of my
daughter Fanny Elizabeth Harrison in which case her share / shall be held in trust by my Executor to be divided
among her surviving children / when and how he (Executor) deems suitable I hereby appoint my son Ernest Eskrigge /
Rawes to be my sole Executor and I charge him to carry out the contents of this Will / Dated this thirtieth day
of November 1918 One thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
