THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me HERBERT RAWES of Belmont 27 Rua Ribeiro Sanches Lisbon in the Republic of Portugal a British subject domiciled in Portugal

I hereby revoke all former wills and codicils made by me and declare this to be my LAST WILL

2. I APPOINT my brother Stanley Rawes of Largo de Rilvas Lisbon Portugal my brother in law Rupert Learoyd Mc Culloch of Grovesbrook Fleet Hants England and my son Lancelot James Rawes of Belmont 27 Rue Ribeiro Sanches Lisbon Portugal (hereinafter called "my trustees") to be the EXECUTORS and trustees of this my will

3. I declare that in the interpretation of this my will the expression "my trustees" shall mean and include the surviving trustees or trustee for the time being hereof whether original or substituted

4. I devise and bequeath all my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever and all my furniture and household effects situate in the Republic of Portugal unto my wife

Elizabeth Grey Rawes and I bequeath all the residue of my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my trustees and I direct my trustees to sell call in and convert into money at their discretion all such parts of such residue of my personal estate as shall not consist of investments of the nature hereinafter authorised

5. Subject to the payment of my debts and funeral and testamentary expenses I direct that my trustees shall invest in manner hereinafter authorised the proceeds of the said sale calling in and conversion and stand possessed of the same such investments and of such parts of the residue of my personal estate as shall at my death consist of such investments as aforesaid (hereinafter referred to as "my estate") for the payment of the following legacies and upon the following trusts (a) I bequeath a sum of £4000 (four thousand pounds sterling) to each of my children Doris Christina Rawes Lancelot James Rawes and Douglas Albert Rawes free of death duties and I direct my trustees to make these payments after my death and on the realization of my estate as provided above to each child who has attained the age of twenty one years or when he or she attains the age of twenty one years respectively (b) The residue of my estate I leave upon trust and direct my trustees to pay the full income there of to my wife Elizabeth Grey Rawes during her life and after her death (c) as to both capital and income for all and every of my children to be divided among them in equal shares as tenants in common or to one child only if only one survives (d) provided nevertheless that should one or more of my children predecease my wife and leave issue one third of the trust money available on my wifes death in each case shall go to the issue of each of my children so deceased to be held in trust for such issue until he she or they shall attain the age of twenty one years' in each case

6. I declare that in every ease in which any share or part of a settled share of my estate is to be held in trust for any child of mine or for his or her issue contingently on attaining the age of twenty one years the intermediate income so far as it is not otherwise disposed of shall follow the capital from which it shall have arisen

7. I declare that my trustees may postpone the sale calling in and conversion of any part of my estate for such period as they may in their absolute discretion deem fit provided that the proceeds of such sale calling in or conversion when effected shall be treated as capital and not as past income

8. I direct that any monies liable to be invested by my trustees may be invested in a special trust and in or upon any public stocks or funds or Government securities of Great Britain or of her Dependencies Colonies and Dominions or of any Foreign State or in or upon any of the stocks funds shares debentures mortgages or securities of any Corporation Company or Body Municipal Commercial or otherwise in Great Britain or her. Dominions or in any foreign state or in or upon any securities authorised by British Law as investments for trust funds

9. My trustees shall have the following further powers (a) to raise any part or parts

not exceeding one moiety of the contigent or vested share of capital of any person under this my will and apply the same for his or her benefit or advantage but during the existence or contingency of any prior life or other interest or interests only with the consent in writing of the person or persons entitled to such interest or interests (b) After the decease of my said wife and during the minority of any child to apply the whole or such part as my trustees shall think fit of the income of the expectant share of such child for or towards his or her maintenance or educated with power to pay the same to the guardian or guardians of such child for the purposes aforesaid without seeing to the application thereof and I direct that the surplus income shall be accumulated at compound interest and such accumulation shall be added to the original share and devolve therewith but shall always be liable to be applied for the purposes aforesaid as if the same were income arising in the then current year (c) At their absolute discretion instead of acting personally to employ and pay any other person or persons to transact any business or to do any act of whatever nature in relation to the trusts hereof including the receipt and payment of money without being liable for any loss incurred thereby (d) in the event of one or more of my trustees dying after my death and during the period the trusts hereof are to continue to be administered the surviving trustees or trustee shall in consultation with my said wife appoint other trustees or another trustee in substitution of the original trustees or trustee.
