[Page 1:] THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me HANNAH RAWES the wife / of James Rawes of 20 Harehill Street Todmorden in the County of / York Retired Tailor 1. I REVOKE all former Testamentary disposi / tions made by me 2. I APPOINT My son John William Rawes and my / daughter Nellie Ratcliffe Tout (hereinafter called "my Trustees") /to be the Executors and Trustees of this my Will 3. I GIVE the / whole of my property both real and personal whatsoever or whereso / ever of or to which I may be seized possessed or entitled at my / death or over which I may then have any general power of appoint / ment by Will unto my Trustees Upon Trust to sell and call in the / same with power to postpone such sale and calling in and to / retain any investments existing at my death indefininitely without / being responsible for loss And I direct that the income of the / unsold part thereof for the time being shall be applied in the / same manner as if it were income from investments of the proceeds / of sale and calling in thereof 4. My Trustees shall out of the / proceeds of such sale and calling in and out of my ready money / pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and the / legacies given by this my Will or any Codicil hereto and the duty / on any legacies given free of duty 5. My Trustees shall invest / the residue of the said moneys in their names in or upon any / investments for the time being authorised by law for the invest / ment of trust funds 6. My Trustees shall pay the income of the / said money (which with the investments for the time being / representing the same are hereinafter called "the Trust Fund") / to my husband James Rawes during his life 7. After the death of / my said husband my Trustees shall stand possessed of the capitol / and future income of the trust fund Upon trust for such of them / my sons Harry Rawes Arthur Rawes and the said John William Rawes / and my daughter the said Nellie Ratcliffe Tout as shall be then / living in equal shares as tenants in common absolutely 8. If my / said sons Harry Rawes Arthur Rawes and John William Rawes and [Page 2:] my said daughter Nellie Ratcliffe Tout or any of them shall have / died in my lifetime or in the lifetime of the said James Rames / leaving issue living at the death of the survivor of myself and / the said James Rawes such issue being male and attaining the age / of twenty one years or being female and attaining that age or / marrying shall take by substitution if more than one as tenants / in common in equal parts the share in the trust fund which such / deceased child of mine would have taken under the trusts in that / behalf hereinbefore declared had he or she survived me and the / said James Rawes and attained a vested interest but so that no / issue remoter than a child of such deceased child shall take / except in the case of the death of his her or their parent before / the survivor of myself and the said James Rawes and in the place / of such parent IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand / this twelfth day of October One thousand nine hundred and thirty / one HANNAH RAWES SIGNED by the said Hannah Rawes the Testatrix as and for her last / Will and Testament in the presences of us both being present at / the same time who at her request in her presence and in the / presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as / witnesses - G Geoffrey Collins Solicitor Todmorden - John R.
