I JOHN RAWES of Brooklyn Stainton near Penrith in the County of Cumberland Gentleman hereby revoke all former testamentary dispositions made by me and declare this to be my last will which I make this thirteenth day of October One thousand nine hundred and forty five I APPOINT James Scott of Redlands Bank Kirkby Thore in the County of Westmorland Farmer and Ernest Eldon Lightfoot of 21 Castle Street in the City of Carlisle Solicitor (hereinafter called "my Trustees") to be the executors of this my Will and to be trustees for the purposes hereinafter mentioned and for all statutory purposes I BEQUEATH all my personal Chattels as defined by the Administration of Estates Act 1925 to my housekeeper Mina Bennett absolutely AND I DEVISE my field at Stainton aforesaid comprising Seven and one-half acres or thereabouts purchased from Mr. Woodhead in One thousand nine hundred and Twenty one or thereabouts to Annie Thompson of Hay Bank Stainton aforesaid daughter of the said Mina Bennett in fee simple AND I GIVE DEVISE AND BEQUEATH all the rest residue and remainder of my real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my Trustees UPON TRUST that my Trustees shall sell the said real estate and call in sell and convert into money such part of my personal estate as does not consist of money with powere to postpone such sale and conversion for such a period as my Trustees without being liable to account may think proper AND SHALL out of the money to arise from the sale and conversion of my said real and personal estate and out of my ready money pay my funeral and testamentary expanses death duties and debts AND subject thereto SHALL stand possessed of my said real and personal estate and the proceeds of sale thereof IN TRUST for the said Mina Bennett and Annie Thompson in equal shares absolutely AND I DECLARE that the said Ernest Eldon Lightfoot shall be entitled to charge and be paid all usual professional and other charges for business transacted time expended and acts done by him or the firm in connection with the terms hereof IN WITNESS thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the year first before written.
