In the name of god Amem the 11nd day of September Anno Dni 1622, I Richard Rawes of Bowness
in the parish of Windermer and County of Westmorland Shearman sick in bodie neverthelesse of pfect mind and
memorie praised be god the saint: Do make & ordaine this my last [will] and Testament in manner and forme following
ffirst I comit & comend my soule into the mercifull hands of [Al]mighty god my maker and Redeemer, fully-
resolving of yt- mercy in Christs merits as the onely Author --- Arke of sastr[?] for my soule And for my
temporall estate and worldly indorcemts I dispose of them as follows. ffirst it is my mind and will I doe give
and bequeath all that m y messuage or tenemte lying or being at Crosses in Aplethate of the Annuall Rent
of xxiiil as every yeare And the Intered am tenentright hereof of all it Appurtenances unto my supvisors
hereafter commit and to their Assignes for ever. Ite It is my will and mind that was shortly after my decease as
may be my said supvisors shall sell the said tenemte of all Appurtenances And shall save the disposing of the
whole some some of money for my said tenemt reeldeth[?]. Ite it is [my] will and mind that Margaret Rawes my sister
shall have the whole p[ro]fitt & benefitt coming or arise[ing] from or out of the said some of money wth
is to be received or taken for my said tenemte during her naturall life: Ite after the decease of ---
said sister Margaret Rawes I give xvl of the same [un]to Rowland Jackson, and to the rest of ---
his executors and Assignes for ever Ite I give unto Edwine Greene of Ridal Slater and to his
Assignes -- hereof Ite I give unto Arthur Jackson and his Assignes xl[?] hereof. Ite I give xxs
hereof to the fresthetest of Windermer And of the rest of the some of money wth Remainder, I give to
my executor Rowland Jackson. Ite I dispose of my o[t]her goods and Cattells moveable and immoveable as followeth
ffirst I give unto Isaack Elleway a paire of b--- Breaches a shall and a fustian Dublet. Ite I give unto
Henry Dixon de bell my best Chest. Ite I give out of my said ------- unto -------- xs ---------------
unto her sonn Edward Dawson other vs. Ite It is my will and wish[?] the Rest of my goods shall pay my debts
and funerall expences Executors of this my last will and testament I make Rowland Jackson Supvisor
hereof I ordaine and appointe Christopher Phillipson of Callgapesge-[?] and Christopher Shillingson his nephew
and Thomas Bousfeild pson of Windermer, and Georg Jackson de Ambleside Bailiffe whome I
give for god sake to be this my last will and Testament truly pformed to the best of their power
and for their powers to be taken herein I doe give unto every [one] of them vs to be paid unto them out of my goods.
