In the name of god Amem the xiith day of September Anno Dmi
1623 I Willm Rawes of the prsh of Windermer and Countie of
Westmorland sicke in body never the lesse of pfecte mind & memorie
praysed be god for the same: do make & ordaine this my last
will and testamt in manner & forme following first I comend
my soull unto the mercifull hands of Almightie god my mker and
Redeemer trusting by the merits & mediation of Christe Jesus my
Saviour to be saved & I comitt my body to the duste to be buryed
wthin my prish Churchyard of Windermer and all dewes thereunto
belonging to be payed & discharged And for my temporall estate and
worldly goods I dispose of them as followeth ffirst It is my
will & mind as I do give and bequeath All the estate Right title and
Interest of tenantright wch I now have or hereafter ought to have off
in or unto that messuage or tenamt situate lying & being at Windermer[?]
----- that now or late in the tenure & occupation of my father Richard Rawes
or his assignes of the Annual Rent of vis vd[?] by yeare together wth all houses
Edifices & Appertenances thereunto belonging unto my brother George Rawes
& to his heyres for ever according to the Custome there used & allowed: Ite
It is my will & mind that the said George Rawes his heires or ass[ign]s shall
enter unto the Actuall possession & occupation of the said messuage in manner
& forme following: unto unto all that p[ar]te & p[ar]cell of the said messuage (wch I
now have & enjoy[?]) at or imediately after my decease, & unto all the Rest
hereof wthall yt appurtenances after the decease of my said father Richard
Rawes in such manner as I the said Willm Rawes might or could have
entered thereunto by vertue of a Covenant betwixt us made: Ite yt is
my will & mind that the said George Rawes shall well & truly pay and
discharge forth of the said messuage & tenemt All such somes of
money as I the said Willm Rawes do owe unto any pson or psons no we
now at the time of my decease: Ite I do give unto George Rawes sonne
of George Rawes my godchilde a lambe or iiis of money: Ite the Rest
of all my goods & Chattells moveble & imoveble my debts legacies & funerall
Expences discharged I give & bequeath unto my said brother George Rawes whome
I make the sole Executor of this my laste will & testamt: Record hereof
