SOME RAWES HOUSES

SOME RAWES HOUSES'
This section both mirrors the section on Rawes Portraits and also touches upon and relates to 'Some Rawes Documents'. Over the years, miscellanious photographs have been gathered of houses where Rawes lived. In some cases particular houses were lived in for several generations and can be considered as true Rawes houses, however, in most cases it was just one family for one generation. Of course, many Rawes' would have lived in a number of houses during their life time. The listing of all Rawes homes would be an immense task in its own right, if at all possible.

This page follows the usual format where the homes of various Rawes branches are arranged in a particular way commencing with 'The Family'. The first two items should be explained:

  1. Is a link to a page to be found in 'Some Rawes Documents' as it relates to a survey of houses within the Shap area.
  2. A special study has been made on Wetsleddale in an attempt to tie down particular families to particular houses that exist or existed in the dale.
